Due to the debt crisis, many wealthy investors have focused strongly on precious metals, real estate and foreign currencies, such as the Swiss franc, or simply prefer to put their assets into savings. Due to the intense volatility on the equity markets, it is easy to lose sight of the importance of portfolio diversification.

The portfolio should not be affected strongly by increases in interest rates or short-term declines in share prices, and is intended to generate steady returns. Due to the instruments employed, the impact of market-induced fluctuations should remain moderate.
Raiffeisen VIPplus 1
Raiffeisen VIPplus 1 focuses mainly on global bond funds and absolute return oriented funds. Alternative investments (e.g. hedge funds) and other investments (e.g. real estate investments, commodity investments) account for 30 % on average (max. 60 %), for diversification purposes. Equity positions may be held indirectly through absolute-return-oriented funds.
The intended performance will be achieved by investing in a diversified portfolio of global bond funds. Investments in instruments such as corporate bonds, high-yield bonds, emerging market bonds, convertible bonds, etc. are possible.
Raiffeisen VIPplus 2
The investment focus of VIPplus 2 is on global equity and bond funds, as well as absolute return oriented funds. Alternative investments (e.g. hedge funds, private equity) and other investments (e.g. real estate investments, commodity investments) account for 50 % on average (max. 95 %). Up to 60 % may be invested in equities. The fund may invest up to 60 % of its assets in equity investments and may indirectly hold equity positions through absolute-return-oriented funds.
The performance targeted by the fund is to be achieved by investment in a diversified portfolio consisting of global equity and bond funds. Investment in corporate bonds, high yield bonds and Emerging Market bonds, etc. is possible. The total ratio of the segment “Equity funds” is limited to a maximum of 60 % in Raiffeisen VIPplus 2.
