Both of the buildings, Utrecht I and Utrecht II (also known as de Admiraal I and de Admiraal II) are located in the "De Volharding" industrial area of Nieuwegein. Nieuwegein borders directly onto the city of Utrecht in the south. The entire area around the cities of Amsterdam, Utrecht, The Hague and Rotterdam, the so-called "Randstad”(Rim City) is the most significant economic conurbation in the Netherlands and also one of the largest office markets in the Netherlands.
The buildings are situated along the "Merwedekanaal" that flows through the city of Nieuwegein. In light of its central position the region of Utrecht is an ideal location for the headquarters of Dutch companies. Utrecht is also home to the largest university in the country together with the most modern conference and exhibition facilities.
"Admiraal I" comprises four linked office buildings that were completed in 2002. One tower was designed as a landmark building with thirteen stories, while the other three buildings have seven stories each. Around the buildings there are ample parking spaces, extensive green areas, the canal and a terrace. A Dutch technology firm is the sole tenant with a long-term lease.
The neighbouring "De Admiraal II" comprises two office buildings each with eight stories. The two buildings are connected by means of a pedestrian bridge on the second floor. The construction was completed in 2005. The building complex including its interior furnishings and fittings is of a very high technical standard. A major Dutch construction company is the sole long-term tenant.
