Ongoing need for investments in infrastructure: public sector needs support from private investors
Offering in private markets expanded: Raiffeisen Capital Private Infrastructure I, a globally investing infrastructure fund with an investment focus on Europe
New partnership with GCM Grosvenor
The fundraising target is 150 million euro. Private markets as an overarching topic are playing an increasingly important role in the diversification of portfolios with the simultaneous prospect of attractive returns. In addition to private infrastructure, private debt, private equity and real estate are the most sought-after asset classes in the private markets sector.
Ongoing need for investment in infrastructure: public sector needs support from private investors
The reasons for the demand for private infrastructure are obvious: "The need for investment in the infrastructure sector is enormous and will continue to increase in the coming years and decades. This clearly shows the public sector needs support from private investment," emphasizes Hannes Cizek, CEO of Raiffeisen Capital Management. The need for investment arises not only from long-term developments regarding digitalization and renewable energy production, but increasingly also from the renewal and maintenance of existing infrastructure. This is where Raiffeisen Capital Management's previous expertise proves its worth.

"Infrastructure is one of seven future transformation topics currently defined in Asset Management, which have long been an integral part of our multi-stage investment process,"
Global infrastructure fund with an investment focus on Europe
Raiffeisen Capital Private Infrastructure I is an Article 8 fund that combines investments in infrastructure funds with direct investments in infrastructure projects with a focus on Europe. The fund structure with its multi-strategy approach ensures a broadly diversified private infrastructure product in which investors can invest in over 100 assets[1]. “With this expansion of our product range, we are responding specifically to the needs of our investors. The allocation to attractive sectors and segments and the geographical focus of the global portfolio on Europe are aimed at achieving an attractive risk/return profile for our clients”, emphasizes Cizek.
Partnership with GCM Grosvenor
Raiffeisen Capital Management has set up the "Raiffeisen Capital Private Markets Strategy" platform in Luxembourg for the launch of the private markets investments. "For our first fund in private infrastructure, we are relying on cooperation with a strong and established partner, which we sought out in a complex and multi-layered selection process and finally found in GCM Grosvenor – a perfect fit", says Cizek. GCM Grosvenor is global alternative asset manager, with a special focus on private infrastructure.
